The market news is quoted as saying:

Talks briefly collapsed on Wednesday afternoon when union leaders walked away from the table and the company declared government mediation over. But then both sides returned to the table and said talks would go on. If Thursday’s talks, the last of five scheduled days of mediation, fail to reach a deal, the union can follow through on a near-unanimous worker vote a week ago and strike as soon as Friday, as threatened, at the mine — which produces 535,000 tonnes a year, or 3.3 percent of the world’s mined copper.
