The cybersecurity industry is quickly expanding in response to the need for increased computer security. Here’s a look at the top cybersecurity companies.
The cybersecurity industry is a quickly expanding market, growing in response to the rapidly developing need for computer security. According to Cybersecurity Ventures, cybercrime damage costs are expected to grow to $6 trillion each year by 2021, and the global industry is forecast to reach $1 trillion by 2021 – and that is a conservative estimate.

Ranked #6 on the Cybersecurity 500, FireEye combats cyberattacks with cloud- and software-based services. The company has over 5,300 customers across 67 countries, which includes 825 of the Forbes Global 2000. In February, the company announced enhancements to its endpoint security solution.
Lockheed Martin
Lockheed Martin, ranked #7, is a global security and aerospace company that has a full spectrum of cyber capabilities. The company has developed a proprietary Cyber Kill Chain framework that is set to identify and prevent cyber intrusions.
Sophos
Headquartered in Oxford, UK, Sophos is ranked #8 on the Cybersecurity 500. The company offers complete security solutions using encryption and endpoint security. In February, the company launched Sophos Mobile 7, which is the latest version of its Enterprise Mobility Management solution.
Symantec
Symantec is ranked #9 on the Cybersecurity 500. This Fortune 500 company operates one of the world’s largest cyber intelligence networks. In March, Symantec announced that it has formed a separate entity, Symantec Ventures, that aims to help cybersecurity startups.
IBM Security
IBM Security is ranked #12 on the Cybersecurity 500. IBM protects businesses using a customized enterprise security portfolio to disrupt new threats, deploy security innovations and reduce the cost and complexity of IT security.
Cisco
Ranked #13, Cisco has a suite of cybersecurity products and services to detect and stop threats. In March, the company announced new capabilities for its HyperFlex Systems portfolio.
BAE Systems
Global defense, aerospace and security company BAE Systems is ranked #15. The company provides advanced technology defence, and security solutions to governments as well as commercial markets. In February, the company reported its financial results for 2016.
CyberArk Software
Last of the top 10 public companies within the Cybersecurity 500 is CyberArk. Headquartered in Israel and Massachusetts, the company’s unique focus is on threats using insider privileges to attack the enterprise. In February, the company announced that it was awarded Best Identity Management Solution by the SC Awards.
