Kenya Issues Gold Mining Lease to Goldplat

Mining Weekly reported that Goldplat (LSE:GDP) has been issued Kenya’s first gold mining license since 1963.

As quoted in the market news:

Goldplat CEO Demetri Manolis said the company aimed to intensify the mine’s development and the erection of the elution plant, which would enable the production of gold bullion on site in the near future. This production would also complement existing producing operations in South Africa and Ghana.
