Gold Prices Rise on Technical Buying

Reuters reported that gold was up 1% in a small rally today.

As quoted in the market news:

Spot gold was up 1.05 percent at $1,674.86 per oz at 12:37 p.m. EDT (1637 GMT), headed for its largest weekly gain in six weeks as investors have grown more risk averse.
