Avrupa Minerals Intersects 6.2 g/t Gold Over 126.5 Meters at Slivovo
Avrupa Minerals announced results from the first-ever drill program at its Slivovo project, prompting a 60-percent share rise for the day.
Avrupa Minerals (TSXV:AVU) on Wednesday announced results from the first-ever drill program at its Slivovo project, prompting a 60-percent share rise for the day.
The company intersected 6.2 grams per ton (g/t) gold, 15 g/tĀ silver, 0.16 percent lead and 0.45 percent zinc over a 126.5-meter intercept.
The company has now completed seven holes, totaling 818 meters, that target the Pester sulfide-oxide gossan zone and the Pester southwest gossan extension.
āWe are extremely excited and positive about the initial results at Slivovo. In addition to the strong gold results from SLV004, we are also quite excited about the presence of significant copper anomalism in the drill hole, which may point to the possibility of a larger porphyry system located in the lower plate rocks, underneath the thrust fault,ā said Paul Kuhn, president and CEO of Avrupa, in a statement.
As mentioned, Avrupaās share price rocketed up 60 percent for the day, closing Wednesday at $0.32 per share.
