Agnico-Eagle Mines Outperforming Other Miners After Dealing with Costly Weather Challenges

Bloomberg reported that Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd. is outperforming global competitors now that they have dealt with severe weather conditions in the Arctic that contributed to soaring costs.

As quoted in the market report:

Agnico has surged 38 percent in 2012, the biggest gain among 17 gold miners larger than $7 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. The company beat earnings estimates for three straight quarters and now trades at a peer-leading price- to-earnings ratio of 33 times.
