Vision Lithium Drills 22.4m of 1.7 percent Lithium Oxide on Sirmac Lithium Property
Vision Lithium has released the initial results from its 1,500 metre drilling program at its Sirmac Lithium property in Quebec.
Vision Lithium (TSXV:VLI,OTC:ABEPF) has released the initial results from its 1,500 metre drilling program consisting of approximately 25 shallow drill holes targeting the #5 dyke outcrop area at its Sirmac Lithium property in Quebec.
The company is relying on historical work done by Nemaska Lithium on the 10,350 hectare property.
As quoted in the press release, president and chief executive officer of Vision Lithium, Yves Rougerie said:
“I am very pleased with our initial drilling results. The twin hole is almost an exact replica of the hole originally drilled by Nemaska back in 2011, and gives us added confidence in the balance of their historical work. Hole SIR-18-02 is an infill hole and returned excellent widths and grade. Results over 1 percent lithium are what we want to see, these grades are quite exceptional and we are very pleased to see such significant widths.
“Our next step will be to start the metallurgy work to demonstrate that this material can make an acceptable concentrate. We are targeting a concentrate of 6 percent lithium oxide or higher. We will use the core from our drill program for the metallurgical testing at the lab. Once we see the results of the metallurgy we will confirm that the concentrate can make a battery grade lithium hydroxide and lithium carbonate. We have contacted the lab to book this testing.”
