Lithium Americas to Build 40,000 Tonne Plant in Argentina

Reuters reports that Lithium Americas Corp.(TSX:LAC) intends to start building a lithium carbonate facility next year at the company’s Cauchuri project in Argentina.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The plant, which is to have a total output capacity of 40,000 tonnes per annum and cost $398 million, is expected to start adding to the company’s revenue in 2014, Lithium Americas said in a statement.
