Red River Commences Work on Second Underground Zinc Mine

Far West has a current JORC Reserve of 1.5Mt at 12.0 percent zinc equivalent and a minimum mine life of five years.

Zinc producer Red River Resources (ASX:RVR) has announced that development activities have commenced at Far West – the company’s second underground mine.

According to the release, the Far West portal site has been cleared, and drilling has commenced with the main blast expected this week. Underground development is expected to commence shortly after the completion of the box cut. The company is going through the contractor selection process for the UG development.

As highlighted in the press release:
