Sherritt grabs stake in nickel project

The Winnipeg Free Press.com reports that Sherritt (TSX:S) is set to acquire a stake from a subsidiary of Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO) for a Nickel project in Indonesia.

The story is quoted as saying:

The Sulawesi nickel project is based in the southeast and central Sulawesi provinces on the island of Sulawesi. It is considered one of the world’s largest known undeveloped, greenfield lateritic nickel deposits in the world, Sherritt said.
