Copper 1 Percent Higher

Reuters Africa reports that on Wednesday, Copper prices surged in London, and Shanghai futures jumped more than 1 percent.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Three-month copper on the London Metal Exchange rose $111.25 to $9,501.25 a tonne by 0724 GMT. The most-active copper futures contract on the Shanghai Futures Exchange SCFcv1 rose 1.5 percent to 71,480 yuan.
