As quoted in the market news:

Teck Resources Ltd., Canada’s largest base-metals and coal producer, advanced 2.4 percent as copper advanced for a third day. Royal Bank of Canada, the country’s largest lender by assets, dropped 1.1 percent as bond yields increased in Italy, Spain and France.
