Anglo Snubs Codelco in Chile Stake Sale to Mitsubishi

Reuters reported that Anglo American (OTC Pink:AAUKY) sold a 24.5 percent stake in the southern Chilean properties to Mitsubishi Corp. (TYO:8058) for $5.39 billion.

As quoted in the market news:

Codelco , the world’s top copper producer, last month announced it planned to use its option to buy a 49 percent stake in Anglo American Sur, paying billions of dollars less than perceived market value.
