West Musgrave Joint Venture partners Cassini Resources (ASX:CZI) and OZ Minerals (ASX:OZL) have released an update on the West Musgrave copper-nickel project in Western Australia.
The PFS commenced in November 2017 and significant progress has been made since field activities commenced in March 2018. The study is to be delivered in Q2 2019.
As highlighted in the press release:
- Resource Infill drilling returns best-ever Ni intersection at Nebo: 23m at 2.91 percent nickel, 1.13 percent copper, 0.09 percent cobalt and 0.47 grams per tonne (g/t) platinum-group elements (CZC0285)
- Thick, continuous zones of mineralization intersected at Babel
- Additional 23,000m of infill drilling brought forward into calendar 2018
- Metallurgy program delivers significant improvements to nickel and copper recoveries
- Substantial progress on environmental baseline studies
- GR Engineering appointed to complete engineering design
