Sierra Metals Inc is a precious and base metals producer in Peru and Mexico. The company acquires, explores, extracts, and produces mineral concentrates consisting of silver, copper, lead, zinc and gold. Sierra has interests in the Yauricocha Mine in Peru, and the Bolivar and Cusi Mines, Mexico. The majority of the revenue comes from selling the mineral concentrates to its customers in Peru.
Alpayana S.A.C. has completed the privatization of Sierra Metals Inc. following the expiry of its previously announced offer to acquire all outstanding shares. The transaction was carried out through an amalgamation in which Sierra shareholders received Series A preferred shares that were subsequently acquired for cash consideration of C$1.15 per share, resulting in Alpayana obtaining full ownership of the company. Sierra Metals’ common shares are expected to be delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange after the close of trading on August 6, 2025, and the company plans to apply to cease being a reporting issuer in Canada.
