Durango Resources (TSX.V-DGO) (Frankfurt-86A1) (OTC-ATOXF), (the “Company” or “Durango”) announces that it has been offered to purchase certain prospective rare earth projects consisting of cerium, hafnium, lanthanum, scandium, yttrium and zirconium.
On June 17th, 2017, Fox News published an article titled “Trump Energy Dept. Seeks to Mine Elements Monopolized By China” https://insider.foxnews.com/2017/06/17/donald-trump-coal-mining-rare-earth-elements-comes-china-appalachia.
The article states how rare earth elements are “crucial for production of electronics, military equipment and some medications” and how the “Energy Department says it will invest nearly $7 million into researching ways to mine and produce these elements”.
Company CEO Marcy Kiesman stated:
“To remain relevant and positioned for discovery, management has forwarded the prospective properties to Durango’s Board of Directors and geological team for review and will provide an update as soon as it becomes available.”
