Route1 (TSXV:ROI), a leading technology solutions dedicated to delivering secure data protection technologies and mobility solutions dedicated to delivering secure data protection technologies and mobility solutions announced that the MobiKey technology now works with Samsung DeX.

As quoted in the press release:

Military personnel are required to work wherever their mission takes them – on base, at home, or deployed in the field. With products like Samsung DeX, which transforms mobile productivity, users can easily connect their latest Samsung Galaxy smartphone to a monitor, keyboard and mouse for a convenient PC-like experience. And, when combined with Route1’s MobiKEY solution, personnel gain secure remote access to DoD networks, desktops and files through a CAC-authenticated session.

Tony Busseri, CEO of Route1, states, “We are excited to partner with Samsung to bring this fully secure solution option to DoD, military and even enterprise employees. MobiKEY is built with security as its first priority.MobiKEY is NOT a browser-based technology. MobiKEY is NOT a VPN thereby mitigating risk of penetration attack and malware introduction.”

“We’re focused on maximizing mobile productivity for government and military personnel at the mission edge,” said Chris Balcik, Vice President of Federal at Samsung. “Through this integration with MobiKEY, users can securely leverage our DeX solution for a full desktop-like experience from the convenience of their smartphones, while saving the cost or burden from carrying a laptop.”

Additionally, the two companies will be holding an informational webinar on July 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. EDT for the Department of Defense (DoD) and other U.S. government agency personnel who can benefit from this workforce productivity solution. The webinar, hosted by Samsung’s Jamie Wu and Route1’s Mike Seiler, will give attendees a closer look at the evolution of the mobile workforce and how organizations can improve their CAC/PIV strategy.
