Elemental Minerals Ltd (TSX:ELM) is expecting to release a pre-feasibility study on their Sintoukola Potash Project in Republic of Congo in West Africa. This is a key step in Elemental’s plans to begin limited construction in 2012. The pre-feasibility study is will incorporate data from the recent mineral resource upgrade for Kola target on the project which included a 38% increase in the measured and indicated category to 573 million tonnes at 20.92% K2O. Also anticipated are additional results from the Dougou target where Elemental has reported high grade (>30% K2O) results. Elemental has a market capitalization of $177 million with cash at June 30, 2012 of $18 million.
Castle Peak Mining (TSXV:CAP)Castle Peak Mining Ltd. (TSXV:CAP) has reported on 8 of 14 holes on their high grade Apankrah target at the Akorade Project in the southern Ashanti belt in Ghana, West Africa. Previous results have included 6 meters of 80 grams per tonne gold. Additional results are expected to be announced in September. Castle Peak has a market capitalization of $13 million with cash at June 30, 2012 of $1.1 million.
Search Minerals Inc (TSXV:SMY)Search Minerals Inc. (TSXV:SMY) currently has a resource estimate on their Foxtrot Rare Earth deposit with 9.26 million tonnes and a preliminary economic assessment showing a $408 million pre-tax net present value. A new resource estimate is expected extending the deposit from the current 200 meter depth to a new depth of 450 meters. A new underground mine concept (vs. existing open pit concept) is expected to have lower capital costs and higher margins. Search Minerals has a market capitalization of $7 million with cash at May 31, 2012 of $300,000. Search Minerals closed a financing totalling over $900,000 in August, 2012.
Kivalliq Energy Corporation (TSXV:KIV)
Kivalliq Energy Corporation (TSXV:KIV) has completed its aggressive 2012 exploration campaign and expects to announce the final results. Kivalliq drilled a total of 26,000 metres of NQ core on advanced targets using three diamond drill rigs and 9,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling. Kivalliq has a market capitalization of $52 million with cash at June 30, 2012 of $15 million.
Pan American Goldfields (OTC:MXOM)
Pan American Goldfields (OTC:MXOM) is expecting to receive the results from a Preliminary Economic Assessment which will outline a larger mining operation on its Cieneguita silver and gold project in Mexico.
Rockland Minerals Corp. (TSXV:RL) is expecting assay results from a 16 hole 1558 metre drill program on its Blue Lake Copper, Nickel, PGM project in the Labrador Trough region of Quebec. Initial core logging showed massive and disseminated sulfides, with abundant visible chalcopyrite, at or near the base of a sheet-like ultramafic rock unit. This was confirmatory drilling, and a number of the holes were drilled outside previously-outlined massive sulfide Cu-Ni-Pt-Pd bodies. The company has a market capitalization of $5 million and recently announced it has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to 125,000 common shares priced at $0.16 per share.
Energizer Resources Inc. (TSX:EGZ)
Energizer Resources Inc. (TSX:EGZ) has begun announcing results from the Molo Deposit on its Green Giant Graphite project in Madagascar. More results are expected from the completed program which included 41 diamond drill holes over 8,450 metres, and 18 trenches over 2,100 metres. Results to date have included 421 meters grading 6.12% carbon. Energizer is working towards a preliminary economic assessment for the Molo Deposit in Q4 of this year. Energizer has a market capitalization of $49 million with cash at March 31, 2012 of $1.2 million and $3.5 million in a monthly income bond fund.
