Castle Silver Resources (TSX:CSR) was profiled on a SmallCapPower article regarding the company’s success in exploring for cobalt in its Castle Silver project, located 85-kilometers northwest of the Cobalt township. The article showcases the company’s CEO, Frank Basa, who has worked in the region for 35 years and is very familiar with the geology of the region, something that is proving useful as the cobalt market becomes more interesting to investors.
Recent drill results on the property have proven that Basa’s knowledge and approach to exploring for cobalt are working. “An exploratory surface drill program within 200 meters of the adit at the Castle Silver mine intersected mineralization in every hole, with 1.55 percent cobalt, 0.65 percent nickel, 0.61 g/t gold and 8.8 g/t silver over 0.65 meters at 3.85-4.5 meters, a very shallow depth.”
“Castle Silver has the technical expertise of people who have worked in the camp before and understand it,” Basa is quoted as saying as he discussed the viability of other cobalt projects in the region. “The camp is not like anything else in the world, it’s very special. It’s simple – get your boots on the ground and you’ll find it.”
