Precious Metals Rise on Europe Hopes, Track S&P, Copper

Reuters reported precious metals were up today tracking a Wall Street rally, as Italy’s Senate approved austerity measures.

In other platinum group metals, platinum climbed 1.3 percent to $1,639.25 an ounce and palladium rose 2.5 percent to $658.72, tracking a rebound in industrial metals led by copper.
