Commodities: Precious Metals Surge on Weak Confidence

CNBC reported precious metals surged after a report showed U.S. consumers were their gloomiest in 2.5 years.

As quoted in the market news,

Platinum was up by 1.4 percent at $1,560.49 an ounce, also having risen for three days in a row, marking its largest three-day gain since mid-August.
