Platts reports that palladium prices have surged higher than platinum this year, and both metals are likely to remain supported by several fundamentals factors.

The market news is quoted as saying,

In a report, BofA Merrill Lynch analysts noted platinum and palladium stocks stored in Switzerland have seen small outflows year to date. Moreover, platinum and palladium inventory levels remain well below recent multi-year highs.
