Citywire.com reports that, because Palladium is a component of catalytic converters, demand for it is expected to increase.

‘The real interest has come about for two reasons, accentuated by a third,’ he told Citywire. ‘These are: auto sales with regard to petrol-based engines; the apparent reduction in supply from Russia; and the issues the PGM [platinum and gold mining] industry is facing right now.’
