Reuters reported that gold fell on Thursday due to increasingly uncertainty surrounding the Euro in advance of the EU summit.
As quoted in the market report:
The metal declined as the dollar rose against the euro and oil dropped after Berlin and Paris, Europe’s central powers, clashed over greater EU control of national budgets and other issues before a summit of the bloc’s leaders.
