Gold Up Modestly After Two-Session Losses

MarketWatch reported that gold futures were up slightly on demand for a safe investment.

As quoted in the market news:

Gold for December delivery rose $5, or 0.3%, to $1,724.80 an ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, trading between a low of $1,711.40 and high of $1,738.50.
