Gold prices increased Nov. 13 early in the session after suffering declines during the past week. Gold futures for December delivery gained $5.80 to $1,277.10 an ounce on the COMEX in New York, Kitco News reported.

Spot gold also increased $11.50 to reach $1,278.25 an ounce.

Signs of increased demand for the precious metal in Asia helped boost gold prices today even amid continued speculation the US Federal Reserve will begin pulling back on its stimulus program next month, Bloomberg reported.

Gold prices sank 3.8 percent in the previous four sessions, the source said.
