This morning, gold fell 0.2 percent, or $2.64, to $1,318.40 an ounce, according to Reuters. Meanwhile, US gold futures fell 0.5 percent, or $6.59, to $1,318.40.
The yellow metal’s slip came as the dollar firmed ahead of the release of minutes from the US Federal Reserve’s January meeting. “The market is very cautious as it is awaiting the Fed minutes to be released later today and there is also lower demand out of China and Asia in general,” Bernard Sin, senior vice president of MKS, told Reuters.
