U.S. Mining Development Deal Raises Argentine Lithium Prospects

UPI reports that Argentina boosted prospects for development of the country’s lithium deposits after signing a deal with the U.S. Lithium Exploration Group.

The market news is quoted as saying:

Argentina hopes to become a major producer and exporter of lithium and lithium compounds, which are used in batteries for consumer electronics, electric and hybrid vehicles and power storage for alternative energy sources such as wind and solar power
