Reuters reports that South Korea’s SK Innovation said on Wednesday that it will supply lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles of Mercedes-Benz AMG.
The market news is quoted as saying:
“SK Innovation has an agreement with Mercedes Benz AMG to supply batteries for electric vehicles,” the parent of top South Korean crude refiner SK Energy said in a stock market filing.
The batteries would be used in the SLS AMG E-Cell supercar, unveiled by Daimler in Detroit in January, the filing said, adding that supply dates and volumes would be discussed later.
