Lithium Australia Managing Director Highlights Company Activities and the State of the Graphite Market
Lithium Australia NL (ASX:LIT) Managing Director Adrian Griffin was interviewed on Australia’s The Sophisticated Investor.
Lithium Australia (ASX:LIT) Managing Director Adrian Griffin was interviewed on Australia’s The Sophisticated Investor. Griffin highlighted a number of topics in his interview including occurrences in the Australian lithium market, Lithium Australia’s ongoing exclusive use of Lepidico’s (ASX:LPD) L-Max® technology and the company’s potential acquisition of the Very Small Particle Company Ltd.
Griffin also discussed the company’s Lake Johnston property in Western Australia, for which the company is negotiating the terms for a joint venture opportunity with Poseidon Nickel (ASX:POS). As the property is historically a nickel operation, there will be work required to retrofit the project for lithium extraction.
The Lithium Australia executive was also asked to address the company’s graphite assets as well as the state of the graphite market. Griffin suggested that with graphite mine closures in China and regulatory changes in Tanzania matched with demand for graphite for the production of lithium-ion batteries growing at a rate of 16 to 26 percent per annum, it is a wonderful time to be a graphite supplier.
