Discovery Metals has announced the first batch of assays results from the detailed continuous underground channel sampling program at its Puerto Rico project Zaragoza Mine in northern Coahuila State, Mexico.

Discovery Metals (TSXV:DSV) has announced the first batch of assays results from the detailed continuous underground channel sampling program at its Puerto Rico project Zaragoza Mine in northern Coahuila State, Mexico.

According to the press release, mineralization in the workings at Zaragoza is dominated by zinc, lead and copper oxides and sulfides, frequently with associated silver, contained in mantos and also in fault-breccia hosted chimneys.

As highlighted in the press release:

Selected significant channel samples include:

2.1m of 822 grams per tonne(g/t) of silver, 2.1 percent zinc, 2.5percent lead 0.7 percent copper, including 0.6m of 1675 g/t silver, 2.2 percent zinc, 4.0 percent lead and 1.1 percent copper(samples 215073-74);

1.8m of 55 g/t silver, 27.9 percent zinc, 2.9 percent lead, 0.1 percent copper(samples 215065-66);

3.3m of 175 g/t silver, 2.1 percent zinc, 15.2 percent lead, 0.2 percent copper, including 1.0m of 257 g/t silver, 0.3 percent zinc, and 9.5 percent lead(samples 215037-38, 44);

2.3m of 62 g/t silver, 9.2 percent zinc, 6.5 percent lead and 0.1 percent copper, including 0.9m of 106 g/t silver, 1.6 percent zinc, 13.3 percent lead, and 0.1 percent copper, (samples 215061-62);

1.3m of 75 g/t silver, 16.8 percent zinc, 3.2 percent lead, and 0.1 percent copper  (sample 215092).
