Western Areas reports record nickel sales

Mining Weekly reports Nickel miner Western Areas (ASX:WSA)on Friday reported record nickel concentrate sales from its Forrestania operations, during the quarter ended March.

The editorial is quoted as saying,

Despite the slightly lower production, nickel concentrate sales for the quarter was 662 t higher than the previous September quarter record, at 6 813 t. The strong sales figures coincided with a strong average London Metals Exchange nickel price of $26 903/t for the quarter.
