Copper prices were down in London November 26, with three-month copper falling $21.94 to $7,077.25 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange, Reuters reported.
In the United States, copper futures for December deliver were also down $0.01 to $3.21 a pound on the New York Comex, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Copper demand in China – the world’s largest consumer of the metal – remains mixed, impacting copper prices today.
However, positive news for copper came from the U.S., where September and October housing starts have improved. This could bring copper demand back up despite China’s news, as the metal is used in home construction, the WSJ reported.
