The copper price on the London Metal Exchange fell to $6,387.50 a tonne – a decrease of 0.4 percent, according to Reuters. This activity was attributed to credit issues in China.

“It just seems like there is so much less activity because of the credit constraints in China,” Morgan Stanley Analyst Joel Crane was quoted as saying by the news source.

A stronger U.S. dollar was also partially to blame, according to Reuters. Meanwhile, Comex copper fell 0.59 percent to trade at $2.8745 per pound.
