Reuters reports that a large Chinese copper smelter and a Western miner have agreed on 2011 treatment and refining charges of about $70 a tonne and 7 cents a pound.

The market news is quoted as saying:

This follows a deal between Japan’s biggest copper smelter and a South American miner for a processing fee of $80 a tonne and a refining fee of 8 cents a pound.
