Aeris Resources has opted out of buying Glencore’s CSA copper mine in New South Wales, which it had previously bid US$575 million for.

Aeris Resources (ASX:AIS) has opted out of buying Glencore’s (LSE:GLEN) CSA copper mine in New South Wales, which it had previously bid US$575 million for.

According to a statement from the company, it was unable to reach agreeable terms with the major miner.

Andre Labuschagne, Aeris Resources Executive Chairman, commented:

“Whilst it is disappointing that the acquisition of the CSA Mine couldn’t be completed, Aeris remains focused on its Tritton Copper Operations, the Torrens exploration project and exploring growth opportunities, both organic and through M&A.”
