Finjan Files a Complaint Against Bitdefender for Patent Infringement in the Northern District of California

Finjan Holdings (NASDAQ:FNJN) has announced that its subsidiary, Finjan has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Bitdefender, a company in Florida, and Bitdfender S.R.L. a company in Romanai, in US Northern District of California.
As quoted in the press release:

Finjan filed a Complaint (Case No. 5:17-cv-04790), on August 16, 2017, and alleges that Bitdefender’s products and services infringe four U.S. Finjan patents. Specifically, Finjan is asserting infringement of U.S. Patent Nos. 6,804,780; 7,930,299; 8,141,154; and 8,677,494. Finjan is seeking, among other things, a jury trial, past damages not less than a reasonable royalty, injunctive relief, enhanced damages for willful infringement, and reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs.
Finjan has pending infringement lawsuits and appeals against FireEye, Inc., Symantec Corp., Palo Alto Networks, Blue Coat Systems, Inc., ESET and its affiliates, Cisco Systems, Inc., and SonicWall, Inc. relating to, collectively, more than 20 patents in the Finjan portfolio. The court dockets for the foregoing cases are publicly available on the Public Access to Court Electronic Records (PACER) website, www.pacer.gov, which is operated by the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.
