CGI (NYSE:GIB) (TSX:GIB.A) today announced it has been awarded a task order by the General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service (GSA FAS) on behalf of the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The Credential Management Task Order provides identity management services for 26 federal agencies; issued under the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Continuous Monitoring as a Service (CMaaS) Blanket Purchase Agreement and GSA IT Schedule 70, the total contract value is US$102 million over two years.
As quoted in the press release:

CGI will provide the participating agencies with tools, sensors and services to implement elements of credential management, a key element of the CDM Phase 2 Program to strengthen policies and practices for all authorized users at participating agencies. CGI will also help federal agencies working to comply with the White House’s Cybersecurity Strategy and Implementation Plan (CSIP), which requires strong authentication for network accounts of unprivileged users.
