Mining Weekly reported Anglo American’s (LSE:AAL) Twickenham platinum project is 20% complete after a capital referral extended the project by two years.
As quoted in the market news:
The project began in February 2008 but, as a result of capital deferral, the project schedule was extended by two years, which translates into full 250 000 t/m mine production and concentrator treatment by 2019.
The project team is engaging with review teams to prepare for the presentation of the restated investment proposal to the Anglo American board by the end of this year, Mining Weekly understands.
