South African Stocks: Anglo, AngloGold, Exxaro, Impala Platinum

Bloomberg reported the FTSE/JSE Africa All Share Index declined for a fourth day, dropping 248.55, or 0.8 percent, to 29,812.66.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Anglo American Platinum Ltd. (AMS SJ), the world’s biggest producer of the metal, slid for a third day, dropping 16.11 rand, or 2.8 percent, to 555 rand. The price of platinum slumped below $1,500 an ounce for the first time since since August 2010.

Impala Platinum Holdings Ltd. (IMP), the world’s second- biggest platinum miner, slipped 5.59 rand, or 3.4 percent, to 161.03 rand.
