Precious Metals Rise After Signal on Greece Bond Default

Bloomberg reports that precious metals rose after a signal from European officials that Greece may default.

The market news is quoted as saying,

Silver for September delivery in New York rose 0.8 percent to $39.865 an ounce. Palladium for September delivery gained 0.7 percent to $798.95 an ounce. Platinum for October delivery was up 0.3 percent at $1781.50 an ounce.
