Frank Holmes: The Best Thing for Investors is Diversification
Frank Holmes, CEO and chief investment officer at US Global Investors, on the gold price and how to approach investments in the gold space.
At Cambridge House International’s 2015 Vancouver Resource Investment Conference, Resource Investing News spoke with Frank Holmes, CEO and chief investment officer at US Global Investors (NASDAQ:GROW), about the gold price and how to approach investments in the gold space.
Plenty of conference attendees arrived by 9:00 a.m. on Sunday to see his talk entitled The Optimistic Investor in a Pessimistic World, and the speaker also participated in the popular Future Commodity Outlook and Global Outlook panels.
In the video below, Holmes discusses the importance of diversification for investors, the “love trade” and the “fear trade” and why he believes that bad news is good news for gold. For example, he points out that many gold companies “won” when the oil price fell due to reduced energy costs for their operations.
Finally, he speaks about where he sees the most value in junior mining stocks right now.
