North Korea Sanctions Affecting Supplies of Rare Earths to Russia and Japan

Industrial Minerals (subscription) reported that, according to Chinese sources, UN Security Council sanctions imposed on North Korea are affecting supplies of rare earths to Russia and Japan.
As quoted in the publication:

The UN trade restrictions imposed in response to Pyongyang’s weapons testing programme has interrupted the flow of mineral shipments between the communist state and rare earths importers in a shift that could boost demand for Chinese material.
