Pure MineralsĀ Ltd. (ASX:PM1) has identified 43 intercepts of manganese mineralization in first-phase drilling at its Julia prospect in Western Australia.
Highlights are as follows:

  • The average intercept thickness was 8.9 metres and grade 7.4% manganese, highlighting bulk tonnage potential.
  • Highlights included: 5 metres at 12.44% manganese from 3 metres; and 9 metres at 14.85% manganese from surface.
  • Julia is part of the Battery Hub project.
  • Of further importance is the identification of new zones of shallow mineralisation at Julia over a strike length of circa 2.5 kilometres.
  • Within the zones, grades exceeding 30% manganese have been returned with the company suggesting that this mineralisation could potentially be higher grade starter mineralisation requiring minimal pre-stripping and beneficiation.
  • News flow will continue in the near-term with results from an additional 37 holes.
  • These results will be used to plan additional Phase 2 drilling which Pure Minerals expects to initiate in early 2018.
