China’s Hongxin Group to Double 2011 Manganese Output to 120,000 Mt

Platts reported that Hongxin Group intends to double its output of manganese this year.

The market news is quoted as saying:

The Hubei-based producer produced 60,000 mt of manganese metal of 99.7% purity in 2010, most of which was sold to local steelmakers, while the rest was exported to South Korea, Ukraine and India as contractual cargoes.
