Butte Business Seeking Extension To Sell Manganese Ore

NBC Montana reported that a business in Butte has applied for an extension of its permit to sell piles of manganese ore.

According to Floyd Bossard, co-owner of Bossard Caboose, LLC, the company has sold about 3,000 tons of the ore since 2008. Bossard said the tough economy has left a damper on the market and no one is buying the manganese.
