Financial Mail reported that South Africa’s manganese sector is expanding, with joint ventures like Assmang increasing production.

As quoted in the market news:

Assmang is busy with a feasibility study at the Black Rock manganese mine in the Northern Cape, which consists of the Gloria and Nchwaning mines, to double output of manganese to 6Mt/year by 2018 .
