The comprehensive study by RBSC examines the market for lithium-ion batteries in passenger vehicles, light- and heavy-duty commercial vehicles and buses equipped with hybrid and electric-drive systems. The analysts estimate that the light-duty vehicle segment (passenger vehicles and light-duty commercial vehicles) will account for 85 percent of the global lithium-ion battery market by 2015.
