As quoted in the article:
The technology provides the ability to operate at one-third less cost on a continuous basis with little to no downtime and is projected to require half the capex and reduce the carbon emissions of water treatment by 90% when compared to conventional environmental technology in thermal facilities.
All of this results in a clean, consistent flow of feedstock for processing with wastewater that can be safely recycled or returned to the environment in a controlled manner.
