Metal Bulletin reported that attendees of the Cobalt Development Institute’s (CDI) 2014 conference will be looking to China’s cobalt salt makers for insight on where the market is headed.

The conference is set to take place in Brussels today and tomorrow.

As quoted in the market news:

China produces 40% of global refined cobalt production, sourcing around 90% of its feed in intermediate form from the Democratic Republic of Congo. But some fear it is also sitting on large stocks of metal, which have the power to deflate prices further.
